Spring

Spring I think is my favorite time of year, yes the other seasons have much about them that make them special, winter has the first snow that is pure and white, fall brings the world much color with its fall colors, summer outdoor activities vacations, but the spring, the site of the first robin in the front tree the one without leaves yet so the robin really stands out, under the spring snow is the grass that with the first warm day its blades turn green, the flower bulbs that have lain dormant for the winter are pushing their way thru the frozen earth to bring to spring the color of purple, yellow, red, orange and so many more colors. Have you ever just stopped and looked at the new leaves on trees as they too are pushing their way open to bring to us the beautiful green color. If you are lucky enough to live close to cattle, sheep, horses, and seen the little ones as they run and jump thru the pastures, chasing each other as in tag. What a joy it is to stop and watch them in their play. As the ground thaws we get excited to start our gardens, to teach our children how to plant and watch grow what will become our dinner. Oh can't forget the little chicks, ducks, rabbits, really a new birth for all. I guess that is why we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, the rebirth for all of us. How lucky we are to have this life we have to live to be able to enjoy this place that we have on this earth. Yes Spring my favorite season.
