Dentist Chair

Well after waiting for a month I had my third appointment with the dentist here in Spring Creek, if you know me at all and most don't I don't care to go to doctors or dentist, but I had a couple teeth that weren't giving me trouble yet but knew that they would before long I made the first appointment of course it was just for cleaning and ex rays after the look at ex rays I was told I needed root canals on both teeth one on the upper right and the other on the lower left. So the next appointment was made and the process began, I'm not one that really ask too many questions I just assume that they know what they are doing and they do I haven't had any recurring problems with teeth that have been fixed. Today was different don't get me wrong no problems but I did ask question after I had been in the chair for 2 and 1/2 hrs. they had been what felt like sand paper on my tooth. So I ask him after his hands were out of my mouth what exactly was a root canal, was told that really that is a wrong title for it. He explained that they go in and clean the root out getting everything that could be called a nerve after that which takes a long time and most teeth have four roots they then fill the root with a rubber tube that fills up the root, after that they burn off any piece of the rubber that is left in the cavity of the tooth before they fill it with whatever it is that they use didn't ask that.Then they are finished for the day and you wait another for another few weeks to get in again and have the crown put on. and have to sit in the chair for another 2-3 hrs. I knew there was a reason I postpone going to dentist and doctors
